Education and Development Fund
Providing financial assistance towards education and extra-curricular development expenses
The GFGSA Education and Development Fund assists grandparent and kinship carers (registered with GFGSA), who receive minimal or no financial support, to provide the children in their care with educational resources and development opportunities that enhance or assist access to their schooling. It also supports opportunities for the children in their care to develop physically, emotionally and culturally through extra-curricular activity alongside their peers.
No child or young person should be unfairly disadvantaged through circumstance and they should be given the opportunity to participate equally alongside their peers.
Limited funding amounts are available for education and extra-curricular development pursuits for the children and young people in the care of extended family through the generosity of various grants and benefactors.
