Mike has substantial experience in criminal justice, child protection, volunteer management, event operations, organisational development and adult education.

A former senior police oficer in the UK, since emigrating to Australia in 2005 he has fulfilled leadership roles in the major sports events, local government and the not for profit sectors, receiving the inaugural state award for Excellence in Volunteer Management in 2020.

Mike is currently the joint Deputy Chair of the Board of Volunteering SA&NT, has a leadership/facilitation role with the Volunteer Strategy for South Australia and is a contributor to the development of the National Volunteering Strategy.

Joanne has been with Grandparents For Grandchildren since 2016, beginning as a Carer Advocate and is now part of the management team as Operations Co-ordinator. Previously, she worked in media and with SA Police and has extensive experience with volunteering and the social justice sector. She is responsible for the administration and support of GFGSA’s programs, managing the volunteer team and overseeing the maintenance of our vision, values and objectives.

With her strong accounting and tax background, Hyra is passionate in helping small businesses and individuals to manage and grow their financial well-being. She has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from University of South Australia and is currently studying her Master in Professional Accounting.
